Great garden centre, but for all the history of Mr Gordon Rigg himself cycling everywhere, there is nowhere to leave a bike whatsoever. Very poor and a little ironic.
I love the place and tell everyone I meet how brilliant it is .Definitely a one off not to be missed.
A very disappointed daughter this afternoon while visiting Gordin Rigg. We made the annual journey to the garden to see the spectacular Christmas displays and visit Santa but as we arrived just after 2pm we found out that Santa only see's 100 children per day and all the tickets were sold before 12pm today!!! Now I do understand that Santa is very, very busy this time of year but knowing what crowds the Gordon Rigg garden centre attracts over the festive period you would have thought that the management would have arranged a grotto that can handle the demand!!!Can you imagine how dissapointed we were to be told that not only had we missed out but the assistant said "oh all the tickets to see Santa were sold before 12pm today, there has been lots of people asking after 12 but there are no tickets left.......Oh well we set to work on Google from our mobile phones and luckily there was another garden centre where Santa had two representatives on to see the children so no one would miss out......well done Townley Park Garden Centre.Hey Gordon Rigg people...you may want to think about that next year!!!!!
Visited yesterday to look at Xmas displays. Went in their cafe across the road for breakfast, very nice. They have a farm shop ( with butchers )which was very busy but looks to have a good selection of products. Big choice of tropical/coldware/marine fish and tanks/accessories. Also pet supplies. Customer toilets. Level entrance. Free car park. Wanted to look outside but it was lashing down but looked to have a lot of plants.
