As a lifelong collector of vintage toys, I was quite excited to learn of this shop & pay them a visit. Sadly, and without exaggeration, it was literally impossible to get beyond the heavy cigarette/cigar smoke & filth that hit me in the face upon entering; I had to leave right away.
I love this place. Really interesting. All kinds of old skool toys, with a focus on trains. Mike, the owner, is a dab hand at repairing them. Under pressure to close, make sure you give Mike and the museum your support. Not enough of these kind places, "little curiosty shops", steam rollered by huge multi national companies.

I've been to this shop three times, all during the hours listed on the "Visit Calderdale" website. On all three occasions the shop was closed. What's the point of running a business if you can't be arsed to be in attendance?
